Brandywine sweeps double header against Penn State Wilkes-Barre

Jimmy Quinn led the way for Brandywine in game one with Wilkes-Barre, hitting two for three at bats, scoring two runs and an RBI, along with two stolen bases.  Both teams traded runs throughout the game with an even score of 4-4 after seven innings until Brandywine scored the winning run in the eighth.  Brian Pennock pitched the first six innings, allowing three earned runs on nine hits with four strike-outs.  Brian Bosco closed out the game, pitching that last two innings and receiving the win, allowing one earned run on two hits with two strike-outs.

Brandywine took a commanding 9-2 victory in the second game of the double header with dominant pitching from Carmen Scota.  Jimmy Quinn continued from his success from game one, going three for four with a double, an RBI and a run scored.  Scota's performance on the mound was equally as impressive, allowing two earned runs on three hits, while striking out seven batters.  Jim Murphy scored three of Brandywine's nine runs while also notching a double, along with Tom Osenbach and Joe Samohod.
