Penn State Brandywine celebrated "deBar Day" honoring it's only senior of 2013, center fielder Matt deBarberie. Debarberie is a four year athlete, completing his business management degree at Penn State Brandywine this spring. Matt was honored by head coach, Billy Haines and his teammates Friday, April 19th before their non-conference game with Briarcliffe College.
Briarcliffe broke out the bats in the third meeting between these two teams, scoring runs in all but three of nine innings. Brandywine pitchers allowed fifteen runs on twenty hits to a team that seemed all but unstoppable. Brandywine managed just three runs on the night, including a home run from Jimmy Quinn.
