Brandywine comes alive in second of double header vs. Penn College

In the first of the double header between Penn College and Brandywine, Penn showed a dominant outing, scoring thirteen runs on fourteen hits in seven innings, including one home run.  Brandywine continued to cut the lead after falling behind 10-4 after the third inning, but could not reach Penn's thirteen runs with a final of 14-7.  Jimmy Quinn and Gabe Encarnacion lead Brandywine's bats with a two hits and an RBI from Quinn and a triple, scoring three runners from Encarnacion.  Tom Osenbach received the loss, pitching three innings, allowing eight hits with ten runs, while six of which were earned runs.  Brian Bosco relieved Osenbach, pitching the final three innings, allowing three earned runs on six hits.

Brian Bosco's pitching gave Brandywine a great chance to earn a victory in the second of the double header on Sunday winning by a margin of 7-1.  Bosco held Penn to just one run throughout five innings of work, allowing Carmen Scota to close out the final two innings.  Bosco allowed just one earned run on four hits through five innings, while Scota allowed just one hit and no runs scored through two innings.  Brandywine hitting came from all over the lineup with multiple hits from Jimmy Quinn, Gabe Encarnacion, and Tom Osenbach.
