Brandywine sweeps double header with Penn State Hazleton

Hazleton rallied late for three runs in the sixth to close Brandywine's lead to 6-3 but Brandywine was able to hold off any more surges from Hazleton.  Tom Osenbach and Gabe Encarnacion both went three for four at the plate with three RBI's from Osenbach and two doubles from Encarnacion.  Brian Pennock received the win for Brandywine, pitching the first four innings, not allowing an earned run on two hits.  Matthew Trotta pitched a scoreless inning before Matthew Gallo closed out the last two innings, allowing three earned runs on three hits.

Brandywine broke out for a four run inning in the sixth and six more runs in the eighth to complete a double header sweep on Sunday.  Brandywine's twelve runs on fifteen hits were earned from eight out of nine batters notching at least one hit in the game.  Great performances came with three RBI's from Jimmy Quinn, two RBI's from Gabe Encarnacion, Tom Osenbach and Dan McMenamin.  Charles Herman pitched the first three innings, allowing four earned runs on three hits.  Joe Samohod also pitched three innings, not allowing an earned run on four hits.  Both Darren O'Connor and Matthew Gallo pitched one inning each, allowing a total of two earned runs.
