Brandywine Places Third At Mont Alto Invitational

MONT ALTO, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine golf team earned a third-place finish at the Penn State Mont Alto Invitational on Wednesday afternoon.

Alex Barone (Glenolden, Pa./Concord) led the way individually for the Lions, placing third with a round of 82. Pat Farrell (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley) was just behind Barone in sixth in the 33-player field as he carded an 18-hole score of 84.

As a team, Brandywine totaled a score of 368. Penn State Hazleton claimed the team title with 329 strokes, while Penn State York took second (346).

Zachary Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) recorded a 96, while Payten Bussmann (Gray Eagle, Minn./Sauk Centre) tallied a 106 and Daniel Kile (Levittown, Pa./Prep Charter) posted a 113.

Brandywine returns to University Park for the second PSUAC Invitational of the fall on Monday, Sept. 27 beginning at 10:00 am.
