Brandywine Ties For Second At Season’s Second PSUAC Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine tied for second place during the Penn State University Athletic Conference's second league-wide invitational of the fall on Monday afternoon at the University's Blue Course.

Brandywine totaled a four-player score of 346 strokes to match Penn State York for second place. Penn State Hazleton captured the team title with 325 strokes.

Leading the way for the Lions was Patrick Farrell (Ridley Park, Pa./Ridley). Farrell, who shot 75 on Penn State's White Course during the year's first PSUAC Invitational, earned a fourth-place finish Monday in the field of 48 golfers. He tallied a round of 78.

Alex Barone (Glenolden, Pa./Concord) also earned a top-10 showing by carding an 18-hole score of 86, while Zachary Karlton (Oxford, Pa./Oxford) recorded an 89 to tie for 17th.

Margaret Reynolds (West Chester, Pa./Westtown School) notched the second-lowest score among women's competitors and tied for 27th overall after shooting 93. Payten Bussmann (Gray Eagle, Minn./Sauk Centre) placed fourth in the women's field by carding a 109.

Logan Snyder of Penn State York won his second PSUAC Invitational individual title of the fall after shooting a one-over-par 73.

Brandywine will host an invitational for the first time in team history Thursday at Springfield Country Club beginning at 12:00 pm.
