Nikki Velez opens her second year as an assistant women's basketball coach at Penn State Brandywine in 2022-23.

Velez is the Lions' all-time leading scorer with 1,800 career points from 2016-20. A four-time all-American, Velez received USCAA and PSUAC Player of the Year honors in 2019-20 during her final season at Brandywine.

Also a four-year starting shortstop on the Brandywine softball team, Velez ranks seventh in team history in hits with 107.

She was a member of five PSUAC championship-winning teams, claiming three in softball and two in women's basketball.
