Bio

Brad Fielder was named head coach of the Penn State Brandywine women's soccer program in November 2022 and concluded his first season on the sidelines with the Lions in 2023.

During his first year on the Lions' bench, Fielder led the team to 10 victories and an appearance in the PSUAC Championship for the seventh time in eight seasons. Six players received all-conference nods, including PSUAC Player of the Year Jess James, and three were selected as USCAA All-Americans.

Fielder spent the 2022 season as an assistant coach for the Brandywine men’s soccer team, helping the Lions claim a sixth-straight Penn State University Athletic Conference championship and make an appearance in Virginia Beach at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association National Championship. Fielder’s primary responsibility was working with the team’s goalkeepers and defenders. The Lions led the USCAA in shutouts with 15, while allowing just 0.60 goals per contest in 23 matches.

Fielder also owns five years of experience as an assistant coach at NCAA Division III Wesley Coach from 2017-21. During his second season with the Wolverines, Wesley tied an NCAA Division III record for largest single-season turnaround by producing an 11-game improvement during the 2018 campaign. Fielder, who served as the goalkeeper’s coach, also aided in the Wolverines posting the best goals-against average in the team’s history at 1.17 during the same year.

In addition, Fielder brings more than 20 years of club coaching experience. He currently serves as head coach and technical director of Albion SC, a semi-pro club based in Middletown, Del. Fielder’s previous club stops include the Delaware Union and the Delaware Revolution. He also owns the Diamond State Goalkeeper Academy, a training center focused on age-appropriate goalkeeping skills.

Fielder, who competed collegiately at Division III La Roche College in Pittsburgh, possesses Level I and II goalkeepers training diplomas from the United Soccer Coaches Association and holds a USSF National C license.
