Cross Country Class of 2027: John Finley

MEDIA, Pa. -- John Finley is the newest member of the Penn State Brandywine cross country team after signing with the Lions recently.

Finley competed on the first two cross country and track teams at Regina Luminis Academy during his junior and senior years. A co-captain of both teams, Finley ran a personal-best 5K time of 18:27 and clocked a PR of 4:59 in the mile. As a senior, Finley helped RLA make it to the Pennsylvania State Championship in just the team's second varsity season. This spring, he was a member of the 4x800 relay team that became the first from RLA to ever medal at the district championships.

Finley chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "it is the closest Penn State campus to my house and offers a good engineering program in range of the Philly entreprenuer/engineer job scene."
