Brandywine Runs At Dan Talbot Invitational

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams continued their seasons at the Dan Talbot Invitational hosted by Bryn Mawr College on Friday evening. Brandywine's men finished in fifth place, while the women posted a 10th-place finish.

John Finley (West Chester, Pa./Regina Luminis Academy) was the top finisher for the Lions on the men's side as he placed 17th in a field of 48 runners. Finley completed the 8K run in 32:44.

Tewahido Agonafir (Philadelphia, Pa./Academy at Palumbo) was the second Lion to hit the finish line as he placed 33rd with a mark of 37:45. Kevin O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Springfield) was just behind him, taking 34th in 38:06.

Gui Henn (Exton, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) and Alex Jennings (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) rounded out the Brandywine men as Henn hit the finish line in 42:08 and Jennings completed the race in 47:09.

Jenaya Smith (Cohoes, N.Y./Cohoes) paced the Brandywine women in a time of 32:14, placing 38th among 74 women in the 6K race.

Meghan Ferry (Gloucester City, N.J./Gloucester City) ran to a time of 37:42, while Madison Ollis (Coatesville, Pa./Avon Grove) and Lianna DeDios (Elmwood Park, N.J./Elmwood Park Memorial) finished back-to-back in times of 41:05 and 41:55, respectively. Iyana Handy (Chester, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) rounded out Brandywine's competitors in 51:03.

Brandywine's women will battle Bryn Mawr in a duel meet on Saturday, October 7, while the Lion met are next in action on October 14 at the Rowan Border Battle.
