Brandywine Names Nolan Bacchieri Head Tennis Coach

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine has selected Nolan Bacchieri as its new head men's and women's tennis coach announced Director of Athletics Sarah Kurpel on Thursday.

"It is my great pleasure to welcome Coach Bacchieri to lead the tennis teams. The committee and I were impressed with his playing and coaching experience and most importantly, his vision for the program going forward. We believe Nolan will help us continue to attract outstanding student-athletes and build a vibrant tennis community through competitive varsity scheduling as well as camp and clinic programming," said Kurpel.

Bacchieri spent the past year as the assistant men's and women's tennis coach at NCAA Division III Arcadia University in Glenside. In addition to his coaching duties at Arcadia, Bacchieri also aided in recruiting and fundraising for the Knights' tennis squads.

Along with his collegiate coaching experience, Bacchieri has also served as a tennis pro at Tennis Aces in Lancaster as well as Sea Colony Tennis Center and DuPont Country Club in Delaware. During his time as a tennis pro, Bacchieri helped clients develop skills and techniques, instructed at group clinics and gave private lessons to tennis players of all ages and skill levels.

A native of Kennett Square, Pa., Bacchieri competed for the Franklin & Marshall tennis team for four years from 2011-15. Bacchieri, who competed in both singles and doubles, earned four all-conference awards, including three first team honors, for the nationally-ranked Diplomats.

He earned his bachelor degree in business, organizations and society with a concentration in human resources management in 2015 from F&M.
