2018-19 Brandywine Women’s Basketball Schedule Announced

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine Head Women's Basketball Coach Larry Johnson released the 25-game schedule for his 13th year at the helm of the Lions on Friday.

Complete 2018-19 schedule

Coming off two-straight Penn State University Athletic Conference titles, the Lions will aim for a third consecutive championship in 2018-19. Only three campuses - Beaver, Berks and Shenango - have ever won three-straight crowns in the conference's history.

Brandywine begins the year by playing back-to-back road games at Rosemont (Nov. 10) and Lancaster Bible (Nov. 12).

Two more NCAA Division III schools await Brandywine when the team opens a five-game homestand on Nov. 14. Brandywine hosts Widener for the first time since knocking off their local rival 63-62 in the final seconds in January 2017 and then faces Immaculata ten days later.

Conference play begins Nov. 27 with a home date against Penn State Hazleton. Two days later, Brandywine hosts the University of Valley Forge and then closes its homestand Nov. 30 against Penn State Mont Alto.

Brandywine will spend December on the road, playing at Penn State Wilkes Barre (Dec. 5), Penn State Scranton (Dec. 7) and Penn State Schuylkill (Dec. 15).

The Lions stays at home for nearly all of January, playing eight-of-10 games in the Athletic Commons during the month.

Brandywine rings in the new calendar year with a Jan. 2 game against Bryn Athyn and then rounds out its non-conference schedule three days later at home versus Eastern University.

A Jan. 9 trip to Penn State Lehigh Valley, the team Brandywine knocked off in last season's PSUAC championship game, begins the stretch run for the Lions as the team ends the season with 13-straight league matchups.

Brandywine returns home to host Penn State York (Jan. 12) and Penn State Wilkes Barre (Jan. 15) before making a weekend trek to the western part of the state on Jan. 19 at Penn State New Kensington. January ends with four-straight home games against Penn State Scranton (Jan. 23), Penn State Fayette (Jan. 25), Penn State Beaver (Jan. 26) and Penn State Schuylkill. Brandywine and Beaver have combined to win 11 of the last 12 PSUAC championships.

For the second time in three weekends, Brandywine makes a trip to western Pennsylvania, visiting Penn State DuBois and Penn State Greater Allegheny during the first two days of February. The Lions' four-game road trip ends at Penn State York (Feb. 9) and Penn State Hazleton (Feb. 12).

The regular season comes to an end on Friday, Feb. 15 with a home rematch against Penn State Lehigh Valley.

The PSUAC Tournament begins the following week with the league's automatic bid to the USCAA Tournament on the line.
