Brandywine Claims Road Sweep At Scranton

SCRANTON, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team eased to a straight-set triumph by scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-7 at Penn State Scranton on Saturday afternoon.

Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) recorded a team-high nine kills, while Katie Snyder (Wilmington, Del./Dickinson) and Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) both posted six. Laura Jezyk (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) handed out 23 assists and set down six aces, both team highs, and Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) registered four aces.

On the defensive end, Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) paced the Lions with 10 digs. Ramirez added nine, while Leilu Campbell (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) collected seven and Stevens registered five.

Brandywine (5-5, 4-2 PSUAC) hosts two PSUAC matches for Dig Pink Day on Sunday. The Lions face Penn State Schuylkill at noon followed by a rematch with Penn State Scranton at 2:00 PM.
