Tinyia Terrell Earns Second Team All-United East Honors
MEDIA, Pa. -- Freshman Tinyia Terrell (Milford, Va./Caroline) became Penn State Brandywine's first-ever All-United East Conference performer, earning second team accolades, following the league's women's cross country championship on Saturday.
Terrell ran to a personal-best time of 27:27 to place 18th at the conference championship, which featured 88 runners. Her time was sixth-fastest among first-year runners and is the eighth-best 6K time in program history.
Terrell trimmed nearly two minutes off her previous top 6K mark of 29:21, set earlier this fall at the Bryn Athyn Invitational.
In five races this season, Terrell posted four top-20 finishes and three times placed in the top 10.
Brandywine finished 11th in the field of 13 teams during its first season as a member of NCAA Division III and the United East Conference.
