Brandywine Runs At Bryn Athyn Invitational

BRYN ATHYN, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's cross country teams continued their seasons Saturday morning at the Bryn Athyn College Invitational.

Brandywine's women recorded a fourth-place finish in the field of six teams, while on the men's side, the Lions placed seventh. Cairn was crowned men's team champion and Immaculata claimed the women's team crown.

Tinyia Terrell (Milford, Va./Caroline) paced the Brandywine women by placing ninth in a time of 29:21 during the 6K run. Adelaide Etshman (Landenberg, Pa./Avon Grove) was 16th after running to a mark of 31:54, while Liala Kanan (Schenectady, N.Y./Schenectady) crossed the line in 34:54.

Anaiyah Allen (Lutz, Fla./Steinbrenner), Madison Ollis (Coatesville, Pa./Avon Grove) and Sierra Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) rounded out the Lions. Allen recorded a time of 43:09, while Ollis finished the race in 45:08 and Diawara completed the course in 54:09.

For the Brandywine men, Jayden Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) posted the top time, finishing in 32:36. He was the 13th runner to complete the 8K race.

Jake Whalen (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) registered a mark of 39:35, while Gui Henn (Exton, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) ran to a time of 40:32. Joshua Mitre (New York, N.Y./School of the Future) hit the finish line in 41:29 and Malusi Pretcy (Philadelphia, Pa./New Foundations Charter) finished in 55:13.

Brandywine will host its annual home meet next Saturday beginning at 10:00 AM.
