Brandywine Runners Sweep PSUAC Weekly Awards

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine cross country runners Annie Mueller (Lincoln University, Pa./Homeschooled) and John Li (Upper Darby, Pa./Upper Darby) both claimed the PSUAC Runner of the Week awards following their performances at the Lions' home invitational last weekend.

For the second-straight week, Li set a Brandywine men's 8K record by completing the race in a time of 30:00. Li finished 12th in the 87-runner field and was the fourth competitor from the PSUAC to cross the finish line.

Li, a freshman, has posted Brandywine's top time during each of the team's three races this fall. He has placed among the top 18 runners three times.

Mueller also claimed 12th on Saturday during the 53-runner, 5K women's race. Her time of 25:08 was fourth among PSUAC runners.

An all-conference performer as a freshman last year, Mueller has been among the top-two finishers for Brandywine during all three of the teams races this fall.

Brandywine travels north for the Penn State Wilkes Barre Invitational on Saturday beginning at 1:00 pm.
