PSUAC Honors 42 Brandywine Fall Student-Athletes For Academics
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Forty-two Penn State Brandywine fall student-athletes earned a place on the Penn State University Athletic Conference All-Academic Team following the 2015 fall semester.
To receive the award, student-athletes must post a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 during their semester of competition or own a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Over half of Brandywine’s student-athletes who competed on one its six fall sports teams were honored. This year’s academic team marked a substantial growth in number of athletes to garner the award compared to the 2014 Fall PSUAC All-Academic Team when 27 student-athletes claimed academic laurels.
Leading the way was the PSUAC champion volleyball team with 11 honorees, including seven who also claimed Dean’s List awards for accumulating a GPA of 3.5 or greater during the semester.
The men’s and women’s soccer squads both saw nine student-athletes recognized, while eight members of the cross country teams earned recognition, including five runners from Brandywine’s first-ever PSUAC women’s cross country championship team.
All five members of the women’s tennis team who received all-academic accolades were also named to the Dean’s List.
