Men’s Basketball Coaches Take Part In Sports Mentoring Day

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine men's basketball coaches Omar Richburg and Brian Hardy recently hosted campers from Role Model Sports Summer Basketball Camp, spending a day teaching the youth what life is like on a college campus.

The coaches preached the importance of being a strong student in addition to playing sports and taking part in extracurricular activities outside of sports.

Campers, who range in age from grade school to college, learned the importance of academics through mentoring and academic workshops. Coach Richburg and Coach Hardy showed campers the Brandywine campus and played basketball as well. For many, it was an opportunity to see a college campus for the first time.
