Spencer And Turner Land All-PSUAC Honorable Mention Awards

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine men's basketball junior Cyrie Spencer (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) and senior Marcus Turner (Claymont, Del./Chichester) were both honorable mention selections when the Penn State University Athletic Conference revealed its all-conference teams on Sunday.

In 25 games this winter, Spencer ranked second on the team in rebounding, averaging 5.8 boards per game, while standing fourth in scoring (8.2 ppg). He recorded two double-doubles, while scoring in double figures 11 times. Spencer also added 24 steals, 19 assists and eight blocked shots.

Entering his final year of eligibility, Spencer needs 139 points to become the fifth player in Brandywine men's basketball history to record 1,000 points.

Turner came on strong during the final month of the season, averaging 12.3 points per game over the team's final seven games, all against PSUAC competition. For the season, he averaged 8.0 points per outing and was one of Brandywine's top three-point shooters, connecting on his shots from beyond the arc at a 31 percent rate.

Turner also ranked fourth on the team in free throw shooting at 77.3 percent, while registering 24 assists and 16 steals.

Turner completed his 95-game career at Brandywine with 775 points, 198 rebounds and 88 assists.
