Brandywine Falls In Spring Opener
ABINGTON, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's tennis team dropped its first match of the spring, falling 9-0 at Penn State Abington on Saturday afternoon.
Luke DeAngelis (Downingtown, Pa./Henderson) and Julian Pinder (Penns Grove, N.J./Penns Grove) combined to win six points during their top-flight doubles match, but were defeated 8-6.
Pinder also won five points during his No. 1 singles match before dropping a 6-3, 6-2 decision. DeAngelis claimed seven points, but was downed 6-3, 6-4 at No. 3 singles.
Brandywine (0-2) will play at home for the first time Saturday against Eastern at 12:00 PM.
