MEDIA, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's tennis teams were defeated by Lancaster Bible College in United East Conference action on Saturday. The Lions' men's team dropped a 6-1 decision, while the women were topped 6-0.
Jonathan Parsons (Wallingford, Pa.) highlighted the Brandywine men by winning his second-flight singles match in straight sets. After claiming the opening frame 6-1, he outlasted the Chargers' Austin King to win 7-5 during the second set.
Elias Danesh (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) won three games at No. 1 singles, but fell 1-6, 2-6.
On the women's side, LBC swept all singles matches in straight sets and claimed the doubles point by winning each doubles bout.
Brandywine will travel to Penn College Tuesday for United East matches beginning at 1:30 PM.
