Brandywine Swept At Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's tennis teams were swept in United East Conference matches at Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, falling by scores of 7-0.

Aerynne Mays (Easton, Pa./Wilson) won five games at No. 3 doubles before dropping a 2-6, 3-6 decision, while Samma Zahran (Brookhaven, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) claimed four games at No. 1 singles, but came up short in a 2-6, 2-6 setback.

For the Brandywine men, Elias Danesh (West Grove, Pa./Avon Grove) won two games during his second-flight singles bout. Raj Mamidala (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Jonathan Parsons (Wallingford, Pa.) both claimed one game during their respective singles matches.

Brandywine plays its first home conference matches of the season Saturday against Lancaster Bible (1:00 PM).
