Sierra Diawara Earns CSC Academic All-District Honors

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine senior Sierra Diawara (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Women's Basketball team on Tuesday.
 
A student-athlete must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.50 and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent to be eligible for the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team. Academic All-Americans will be announced in April. 
 
Diawara, one of 23 women's basketball players from the United East Conference to receive the honor, owns a 3.61 grade-point average. She will graduate in May with a degree in communications.
 
During her four-year career, Diawara earned three academic all-conference awards and is a five-time Dean's List honoree.
 
On the court, Diawara earned Third Team All-United East accolades during Brandywine's first year as a member of the conference. She averaged 10.5 points and 4.8 rebounds, while starting all 25 games in 2024-25. Diawara tied for fourth in the league with 57 made three-pointers, an average of 2.3 per game.
 
Diawara competed for the Lions for four seasons, recording 945 points, 430 rebounds and 110 steals in 106 career games. She ranks fourth on Brandywine's three-pointers list with 167 career triples.
