Barrouk Voted First Team Academic All-American

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Bryce Barrouk (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) was selected as a First Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators on Wednesday.

Barrouk was one of 10 student-athletes from colleges around the country to earn first team honors and is the sixth Brandywine student-athlete to claim academic all-American accolades since 2014.

A May graduate with a degree in business, Barrouk completed his college career with a 3.64 grade-point average. Earlier in the year, Barrouk was named John S. Egli Scholar-Athlete of the Year by the Penn State University Athletic Conference as the top male student-athlete in the league. He was also an academic all-district and academic all-area honoree during the 2022-23 academic year. During his five years at Brandywine, Barrouk earned two USCAA National Academic Team and four PSUAC All-Academic Team awards.

On the hardwood, Barrouk completed his basketball career by becoming Brandywine's first male athlete to receive national player of the year laurels from the USCAA following the 2022-23 basketball season. Barrouk averaged 18.9 points and 11.1 rebounds, while also claiming his second USCAA All-American award and PSUAC Player of the Year accolades.

During his 106-game career, Barrouk scored 1,749 points, an average of 16.5 per game, as he finished second on Brandywine's all-time scoring list. Barrouk is the Lions' all-time leader in three-pointers made (275) and ranks among the leaders in rebounding with 825 boards. Barrouk led Brandywine to three postseason appearances, including a runner-up finish in the PSUAC Tournament in 2021-22.
