Colin Hockenbrock Named First Team All-PSUAC

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Penn State Brandywine senior Colin Hockenbrock (Wilmington, Del./St. Elizabeth) earned his second-straight First Team All-Penn State University Athletic Conference men's basketball award from the league on Friday evening.

Hockenbrock started all 25 games for the Lions and was the team's leading scorer and rebounder as he posted 13.5 points and 9.1 boards per outing.

Offensively, Hockenbrock scored in double figures 18 times, including 20-point showings against Penn State York and Penn State Fayette. He was a 41 percent shooter from the field, while adding 2.6 assists per game, tying for the team lead in helpers.

Hockenbrock, who tied for fourth in the league in rebounding, grabbed over 10 rebounds 11 times. He ranked second in the conference with 182 defensive rebounds, while producing a team-leading 10 double-doubles. Hockenbrock also blocked 39 shots, good for third in the league.

Hockenbrock became the eighth 1,000-point scorer in team history in January and finished his three-season career sixth all-time in scoring at Brandywine with 1,137 points. Hockenbrock also ranks among the Lions' all-time leaders in rebounds (623) and blocked shots (101).

In addition, Joey Brusha (Abington, Pa./Abington) received the John Fritz Sportsmanship Award. Named after former PSUAC Commissioner John Fritz, the sportsmanship award is given to one player from each team in the league who best displays the core values of the league and sportsmanship to teammates and opponents throughout the season. Brusha transferred to the team in January and averaged 6.0 points per game in 14 contests.
