Brandywine Takes Down Bucks County For Third-Straight Win

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine received goals from six different players and routed Bucks County Community College 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon.

Hope Priemon (Springfield, Pa./Springfield), Jess James (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Zoey Lineman (West Deptford, N.J./GCIT) all notched two goals for the Lions. Lineman also recorded a pair of assists, while James added one helper.

Jaylin Berrios (Lancaster, Pa./McCaskey), Hannah Dyer (Southampton, Pa./William Tennett) and Delaney Wenner (Middletown, Del./Delaware Military Academy) all scored the first collegiate goals of their respective careers. Madison Pekera (Galena, Md./Kent County) recorded her first point with an assist on James' second goal, while Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) tallied her team-high third assist of the year.

Lineman opened the scoring during the 16th minute and tacked on her second goal 10 minutes later to make the score 4-0. Between Lineman's markers, James and Dyer found the back of the net in a span of 52 seconds.

Priemon added a goal at the 28:58 mark and Berrios made the count 6-0 at halftime with a long shot over the arms of Bucks' keeper Taylor Kaufmann.

Wenner scored during the 63rd minute and Priemon recorded her second goal of the afternoon four minutes later, while James capped the scoring late in the second period.

Brandywine put 21 shots on target, compared to just two for Bucks. Lions' netminder Emily Orr (Eddystone, Pa./Ridley) stopped both shots she faced to up her record to 2-0 and collect her first shutout of the year.

Brandywine (3-1-1, 2-0 PSUAC) is back at home on Thursday to host Penn State Scranton at 2:00 PM.
