Rosemont Downs Brandywine 5-0

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Penn State Brandywine women's soccer team saw its four-match winning streak come to a close as Rosemont defeated the Lions 5-0 on Wednesday evening.

An own goal put Rosemont in front during the eighth minute and Cassidy Smith added a second goal for a 2-0 Rosemont lead at the half. The Ravens added three second-half goals to provide the final margin.

Brandywine goalkeeper Demareste Dorvilma (Carteret, N.J./Carteret) made 10 saves, while playing all 90 minutes in net. Jess James (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Gia Cetroni (Coatesville, Pa./Downingtown West) recorded one shot on goal each for the Lions.

Brandywine (4-2-1, 3-0 PSUAC) will be on the road again Saturday for another non-conference match at Neumann beginning at 1:00 PM.
