Brandywine Basketball Hosting Threes For THON February 8

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's and women's basketball teams will be hosting their second Threes For THON Night on February 8 when the Lions host Penn State Hazleton in a Penn State University Athletic Conference doubleheader.

Created by the PSUAC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee in 2019-20, Threes for THON Night is a conference-wide initiative to raise money through three-pointers made during PSUAC basketball games. Supporters of the Brandywine basketball teams are asked to donate a specified dollar amount for each three-pointer made by the team or an individual student-athlete.

All funds raised will be donated to Penn State THON, the largest student-run philanthropy organization, which is committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer. Brandywine basketball raised more than $1,000 for THON during the first Threes for THON Night in 2020.

To sponsor a team or student-athlete, contact a member of the Brandywine athletics department or men's basketball senior Bryce Barrouk (bcb5410@psu.edu) to complete the Threes for THON form.

Brandywine will be hosting Penn State Hazleton on Tuesday, February 8 with the women's game tipping off at 6:00 PM and the men's game slated to begin at 8:00 PM.
