Bryce Barrouk Earns USCAA Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- Senior Bryce Barrouk (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Penn State Brandywine to a pair of conference tournament victories last week.

In Brandywine's opening round 81-65 triumph over Penn State Lehigh Valley, Barrouk notched a career-high 18 rebounds and netted 15 points. Two days later, Barrouk produced another double-double, tallying 22 points and 10 boards in a 67-60 quarterfinal victory at Penn State Wilkes-Barre.

Overall in three games last week, Barrouk averaged 17.0 points and 12.3 rebounds per outing, while adding five assists, three blocked shots and two steals.

In 29 games this winter, Barrouk ranks 18th nationally in scoring, averaging 17.8 points per game. He is also tied for ninth in the USCAA in rebounding, pulling down 8.8 boards per game.

Barrouk, who surpassed 1,000 career points in January, owns 1,215 career points. He needs 11 points to move into third place on Brandywine's all-time scoring list.

Brandywine (15-17) visits top-seeded Penn State Mont Alto on Wednesday in a PSUAC Tournament semifinal matchup beginning at 7:30 PM.
