Brandywine Bests Williamson 8-1

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's tennis team returned to the win column by besting Williamson 8-1 on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lions took a 3-0 edge into singles action after sweeping all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores.

Alexander Michael (Middletown, Del./Middletown) eased to a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles, while Raj Mamidala (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) recorded a straight-set, 6-2, 6-0 triumph at No. 4.

Winning by identical 6-3, 6-1 counts were John Stine (Collegeville, Pa./Methacton) and Aggam Khurana (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley).

Nick Pananos (Newtown Square, Pa./Marple Newtown) went the distance during his fifth-flight singles bout, winning in a trio of sets. He claimed the first set 6-3 and after dropping the second frame 1-6, bounced back to earned the victory by claiming the third set 10-5.

Brandywine closes out the 2023-24 campaign Saturday at home against Albright at 11:30 AM.
