Hinton And MacArthur Earn All-Conference Honors

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pennsylvania -- Penn State Brandywine guards Cashae Hinton (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) and Stacey MacArthur (Newtown Square, Pa./Delco Christian) have been named to the All-Pennsylvania State University Athletic Conference Second Team the league announced on Friday.

The duo helped Brandywine claim the conference's regular-season title and advance to the PSUAC Tournament semifinals for the ninth consecutive season as the Lions finished the campaign with an 18-8 record overall.

Hinton, a junior, led the conference and ranked third nationally in steals per game (4.0), while also finishing first among PSUAC players in assist-to-turnover ratio. Hinton's 4.1 assists per game were the fourth-highest total in the PSUAC and stand eighth in the USCAA. In 25 games this winter, Hinton also recorded 9.3 points and 4.0 rebounds per game.

Now a two-time, all-conference performer, Hinton will enter her senior season needing 117 points to reach 1,000 for her career.

MacArthur led the Lions in scoring at 12.8 points per game and was one of the conference's top three-point shooting threats as she connected on 51 triples, tied for the third-highest total in the PSUAC. Her three-point total was the most by a Lion since current Brandywine Assistant Coach Bobbi Caprice drained 52 during the 2011-12 season. MacArthur also added 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 steals per game.

During her 49-game career, MacArthur has compiled 635 points and 102 three-pointers.

Penn State Hazleton's Alexis Daly was named player of the year, while Andrea Watkins of Penn State Lehigh Valley was selected as the rookie of the year. Penn State Beaver Head Coach Tim Moore earned coach of the year honors.
