Brandywine Closes Out Dig Pink With Victories Over Wilkes Barre, Scranton

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team improved to 4-0 in the Penn State University Athletic Conference as the Lions posted a pair of three-set victories during their home Dig Pink quad match for the second consecutive day. Brandywine topped Penn State Wilkes Barre by scores of 25-11, 25-9, 25-12 and bested Penn State Scranton 25-6, 25-18, 25-6.

Sullivan Stark (Middletown, Del./William Penn) collected 26 assists, seven aces and three digs against Wilkes Barre, while Becca Civera (Boothwyn, Pa./Chichester) tallied 10 kills and two aces. Nikki Poissant (Aston, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) added six digs, five kills and five aces and Nicolette Napoleon (Springfield, Pa./Penn Charter) chipped in six kills, three digs and two aces.

Brandywine received 14 kills from Poissant during its final match of the weekend against Scranton. She also tallied nine digs, while Stark registered 29 assists, seven aces and five digs. Civera produced seven digs and five kills and Halee Kusner (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) aided the offense with nine kills.

Emily Battista (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) collected six digs and five aces, while Napoleon and Hannah Sarafinas (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) both recorded five kills.

Brandywine (9-2, 4-0 PSUAC) continues PSUAC play on Tuesday night with a road match at Penn State Mont Alto (7:00 pm).
