MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team was downed in straight sets by Rutgers-Camden on Thursday night, falling by set scores of 25-7, 25-7, 25-10.
Suzie Alvarenga (Fullerton, Calif./Notre Dame Academy) recorded a team-best 11 digs, while Madison Swenson (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) tallied nine and Anna Ramirez (Exton, Pa./Downingtown East) collected seven.
Dana Palmer (New London, Pa./Avon Grove) posted a pair of blocks and two kills. Jordan Thompson (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) led the Lions with three kills, while Swenson tallied six assists.
Brandywine (9-4, 8-1 PSUAC) heads to State College for the PSUAC Crossover on Sunday. The Lions face Penn State Mont Alto at 12:30 pm and close the day with a match against Penn State DuBois at 2:30 pm.
