Brandywine Tops Manor In Final Non-Conference Match

JENKINTOWN, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine volleyball team defeated Manor College 3-0 (25-4, 25-10, 25-17) during its final non-conference match of the season on Tuesday evening.

The Lions eased to their 10th win of the season as Aneesa Freeman (Chester, Pa./Chester Charter Scholars Academy) collected eight assists and two digs and Jordan Thompson (Aston, Pa./Sun Valley) produced a team-high five kills.

Mackenzie Kelly (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown East) added four kills, while Katherine Snyder (Wilmington, Del./Dickinson) contributed three kills and one block and Madison Swenson (Chadds Ford, Pa./Kennett) registered five assists.

Fourteen of Brandywine's points came via service ace. Sydney Stevens (Wilmington, Del./Alexis I. DuPont) led the way with four aces, while Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) and Breanna McDermott (Havertown, Pa./Haverford) both tallied three.

Brandywine (10-6, 8-1 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Wilkes-Barre for Senior Night Monday at 7:00 PM.
