Jaylen Bryant Earns Conference Pitcher Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine's Jaylen Bryant (Brooklyn, N.Y./High School of Telecommunications) earned the Penn State University Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week award on Tuesday.

Bryant was dominant on the mound during his lone appearance of the week, firing a complete-game shutout in a home win over Penn State Wilkes-Barre. Bryant struck out a career-high eight batters, while allowing just three hits. He did not issue a walk and needed to throw just 85 pitches to work through seven innings.

Through seven appearances and six starts on the mound this spring, Bryant owns a 2-1 record with one complete game. He has fanned 28 hitters in 27.2 frames, while posting an earned run average of 3.90.

Bryant has compiled a 5-3 record and 60 strikeouts during his two seasons with the Lions.

Brandywine (11-8, 6-2 PSUAC) hosts Penn State Hazleton Friday afternoon for a conference doubleheader beginning at 3:00 PM.
