Baseball Class of 2027: Ian Merrin

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine baseball team added to its incoming class with the signing of Ian Merrin.

Merrin was a four-year letterman as a catcher and infielder at Chichester High School. He was an honorable mention all-Delco selection and received the 2022 Sportsmanship/Leadership Award. Also the Coaches Award winner, Merrin led Chichester to a 39-0 conference record, while winning four Del-Val League championships. He received the Singley Strong Foundation Scholarship.

Merrin also competed in travel baseball for the Delco Tide, winning a pair of tournament MVP awards.

Merrin chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I have been a life-long fan of the Nittany Lions and always wanted to continue my education there. I consider my self extremely fortunate for the opportunity to also continue my athletic career as a Penn State Brandywine baseball player. We are!"
