Brandywine Tennis Welcomes Tanuj Gaikwad

MEDIA, Pa. -- Garnet Valley High School graduate Tanuj Gaikwad will continue his education and tennis career at Penn State Brandywine beginning this fall.

Gaikwad was a four-year member of the boys tennis squad at Garnet Valley and earned two varsity letters. He served as team captain during his senior season.

Outside of athletics, Gaikwad earned Garnet Valley's Ambassador Award during his sophomore year and is a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Gaikwad chose to attend Penn State Brandywine because "I did a lot of college tours, but when I visited Penn State Brandywine, I felt at home. The campus is amazing; the people are super friendly; and the campus is close to my home. Penn State has computer engineering with computational data science division which is my dream branch of academics. Penn State has an awesome athletic department where they encourage and enhance the skills of the student to the next level."

Gaikwad is the first member of Head Coach Lauren Pescatore's class of 2024 after she was hired during the spring semester.
