Brandywine Competes In PSUAC Virtual Track And Field Meet

MEDIA, Pa. -- In lieu of meeting in person to compete, the Penn State University Athletic Conference is sponsoring a series of virtual meets for schools sponsoring track and field this spring. Teams from Penn State Brandywine, Penn State Fayette and Penn State Greater Allegheny submitted results for the first virutal meet on Tuesday.

Brandywine, which used results from Saturday's Golden Ram Invitational at West Chester University, competed in four events.

Braden Young (Smyrna, Del./Smyrna) won the shot put with a top toss of 14.15 meters, which was 4.04 meters longer than second-place Tyler Zelenick of Penn State Fayette.

Isaac Canenguez (Worcester, Mass./University Park Campus School) was third in the long jump (5.45 meters) and tied for sixth in the 100-meter sprint (12.6 seconds), while Aiden Brown (Downingtown, Pa./Downingtown West) placed fifth at 100 meters (12.3 seconds) and fourth in the 200-meter dash (25.6 seconds).

Brandywine will continue with PSUAC virtual competition throughout the spring.
