Brandywine Hosts Annual Home Cross Country Invitational

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine cross country teams wrapped up the regular season by hosting their annual home invitational on campus on Saturday afternoon.

The Brandywine men's team finished third, while the women's side competed with a pair of runners.

Led by Darryl Osei's (Glenolden, Pa./Bonner-Prendie) 12th-place finish, Brandywine's men compiled a team total of 60 points. Rowan-Gloucester County won the men's title with 20 points, while Penn State Scranton finished in second place.

Osei completed the 5K course in 20:21. Abu Mattia (Yeadon, Pa./Penn Wood) was not far behind, completing the race in 20:30.

Kevin O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Springfield) ran to a mark of 21:14, while Tewahido Agonafir (Philadelphia, Pa./Academy at Palumbo) finished his run in 21:51.

Jack McDougall (Glen Mills, Pa./Rustin) crossed the line in 22:09. Christian Zita (Freehold, N.J./Colts Neck) turned in a time of 25:03, while Jack Williams (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) rounded out the Lions in 28:52.

On the women's side, Lauren Husain (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) ran to 18th place, hitting the finish line in 28:20. Alicia Wesley (Fredericksburg, Va./Massaponax) ran to a mark of 42:12.

Brandywine will compete at the PSUAC Championships next Saturday at Penn State Mont Alto.
