Freshman Duo Lands USCAA Soccer All-American Awards

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.  -- A pair of Penn State Brandywine men's soccer freshmen were honored at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association awards banquet last week with all-American honors as Rajbir Lohat (Broomall, Pa./Marple Newtown) earned second team laurels, while Chris Riebman (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) claimed honorable mention accolades.

A midfielder, Lohat played in 19 games for the PSUAC champion Lions, helping the team claim its fourth conference title in the last five seasons. Also a second team all-conference standout, Lohat tied for the team lead, while finishing in a tie for second in the PSUAC and 11th nationally with eight assists. He tallied helpers in Brandywine's first three games of the season, all against Division III opponents, and added assists in five of eight conference matches.

Lohat's first collegiate goal came in a 5-0 victory over Penn State Scranton. He totaled 10 points on the season, placing him sixth on the team.

Riebman was one of the top scorers in the USCAA as a freshman, producing 24 goals, the third-highest total nationally and top mark in the conference. The PSUAC Newcomer of the Year and First Team All-PSUAC selection, Riebman's 34 points ranked third in the USCAA, while topping all PSUAC men's soccer players.

Riebman netted at least one goal in 12 of 19 games this fall and scored multi-goal performances on six occasions. He produced six game-winning goals, including the deciding goal in one-score victories over Gwynedd Mercy and Rosemont. Riebman also collected five assists, tying for fifth on the team.
