Brandywine Competes At Rain-Soaked Border Battle

GLASSBORO, N.J. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's cross country team placed 16th at the rain-soaked Border Battle hosted by Rowan University on Saturday afternoon.

John Finley (West Chester, Pa./Regina Luminis Academy) was the top finisher for the Lions in the 152-man field. He ran to a time of 30:31, shaving more than two minutes off his personal-best 8K time.

Tewahido Agonafir (Philadelphia, Pa./Academy at Palumbo) was the second Lion to hit the finish line, doing so in 34:31. Kevin O'Neill (Morton, Pa./Springfield) tallied a time of 37:27, while Gui Henn (Exton, Pa./Downingtown STEM Academy) posted a mark of 39:55. Alex Jennings (Mountain Top, Pa./Crestwood) rounded out the Lions in 46:50.

Thomas Crooke won individual medalist honors in 25:19, while the host Profs topped the 17-team field.

Brandywine will compete twice next week beginning with a 4K meet at Lincoln University on Thursday.
