USCAA Tabs Munro As Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- The United States Collegiate Athletic Association has selected Penn State Brandywine senior Lauren Munro (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) as its national player of the week.

Last Tuesday, Munro became the seventh 1,000-point scorer in Brandywine women's basketball history when she scored 12 points in a 70-62 victory over Trinity. Munro, whose 1,000th point came on a fast break layup during the second quarter, also added seven rebounds and five steals in the win.

For the week, she averaged averaged 9.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and four steals in two games.

Munro, who has averaged nearly 12 points per game during her career, owns 1,013 points in 85 games over the last four seasons. Through five games this year, Munro leads the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and is tied for seventh in the conference in steals per game (2.8).

Brandywine (3-2) opens PSUAC play Tuesday night at Penn State Mont Alto (6:00 pm).
