Hinton Earns Conference Player Of The Week Award

MEDIA, Pennsylvania -- Two days after scoring the 1,000th point of her career, Penn State Brandywine senior point guard Cashae Hinton (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) was tabbed as the player of the week by the Penn State University Athletic Conference.

Hinton became the eighth member of the 1,000-point club at Brandywine after netting 15 points in a blowout victory over Vaughn on Sunday. Earlier in the week, Hinton poured in a season-high 24 points and added seven assists, six steals and five rebounds in a 40-point triumph over Central Penn. She owns 1,009 career points in 95 games over four seasons.

Hinton, a 2014-15 USCAA All-American, leads the league and ranks sixth nationally, averaging 4.5 assists per game, while standing ninth nationally and second in the PSUAC in steals per game (3.5). She has also contributed 9.7 points and 3.6 rebounds per outing in 13 starts this season.

Brandywine (8-5, 2-2 PSUAC) travels to western Pennsylvania for a pair of conference games this weekend beginning with a 6:00 pm tilt at Penn State DuBois on Friday.
