Amanda Floyd Named USCAA Player Of The Week

MEDIA, Pa. -- After scoring the 1,000th point of her career on Saturday, Penn State Brandywine senior Amanda Floyd (Glenolden, Pa./Interboro) was named United States Collegiate Athletic Association Player of the Week.

Floyd became the 11th member of Brandywine's 1,000-point club during the fourth quarter of Saturday's game at Eastern University. In 68 career games over three seasons, Floyd has tallied 1,003 points. She finished the Lions' lone contest of the week with 14 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals.

The sixth-leading scorer in the PSUAC, Floyd is averaging a team-high 15.6 points per game this winter. She has also accounted for 5.8 rebounds and 2.1 steals per contest in 11 games.

Brandywine returns to action Wednesday, January 4 at Neumann (6:00 PM).
