DOYLESTOWN, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team dropped its second-straight game versus an NCAA Division III opponent to start the season, falling 90-63 at Delaware Valley on Tuesday night.

For the second consecutive game, the difference for the Lions came at the free throw stripe where the Aggies (1-1) sank 31-of-44 attempts, while Brandywine made just 10-of-24. The Lions shot 34 percent during the game and buried nine three-pointers.

Del Val netted the final five points of the first half to establish a 43-26 lead after 20 minutes. A free throw by Andre Butler pushed the Aggie lead to 20 points at the 14:16 mark and Del Val's edge would not dip below 20 the rest of the way.

Amir Johnson (Philadelphia, Pa./Community Academy), who was named USCAA Player of the Week earlier on Tuesday, topped the Lions with 13 points and eight rebounds. Cyrie Spencer (Sharon Hill, Pa./Academy Park) added nine points, while Kenneth Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington Carver) tallied eight points and four assists.
