Men’s Basketball Lends A Hand To Philadelphia Youth

PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania -- The Penn State Brandywine men's basketball team recently lent a helping hand to inner-city youth as they celebrated the holiday season.

Nine members of the Lions' men's basketball team along with Assistant Coach Brian Hardy distributed gifts to children as they entered the gym at the Hank Gathers Recreation Center in Philadelphia during the center's community giveaway.

No child left empty-handed thanks to the team, who sported elf hats during their visit. The younger generation was enthusiastic about meeting the college athletes, many of whom hail from Philadelphia.

Not only were the kids excited, but parents and staff, who were happy to welcome their holiday visitors, were as well.
