Kenneth Murphy Named USCAA And PSUAC Player Of The Week

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Penn State Brandywine junior point guard Kenneth Murphy (Philadelphia, Pa./George Washington Carver) was selected as the national player of the week by the USCAA and conference player of the week by the PSUAC on Tuesday.

Murphy nearly recorded a triple-double on Sunday against Vaughn College, falling two assists shy, after posting season highs with 18 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists. He also added three steals against the Warriors.

In two games earlier in the week, Murphy totaled 15 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Murphy has started all 12 games this winter for the Lions and leads the team in assists per game (2.8). He also ranks third in scoring (7.2 ppg) and fifth in rebounding (3.5 rpg).

Brandywine (4-9, 3-2 PSUAC) hits the road for four consecutive game beginning Friday at Penn State DuBois (8:00 pm).
