Brandywine Edged At Neumann, 5-4

ASTON, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine men's tennis team dropped a 5-4 decision at cross-town rival Neumann on Friday afternoon.

Neumann held a 2-1 edge after doubles action was completed and held on to win the match as the teams split three singles bouts.

Jason Li (West Chester, Pa./Henderson) won both of his matches. He teamed with Zackery Wall (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson) to win 8-5 at No. 3 doubles, while posting a straight-set triumph at No. 4 singles by counts of 6-3, 7-6.

In addition to Li's singles triumph, the Lions also claimed No. 1 and No. 5 victories. Tanuj Gaikwad (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) posted a top-flight win by scores of 6-2, 6-4, while Tejas Agarwal (Bangalore, India/Bangalore North) earned victory at the fifth singles flight by identical counts.

Brandywine (0-2) is back on the road Friday at Eastern University (2:00 PM).
