Brandywine Drops Sunday Matchup To Rowan-South Jersey

MEDIA, Pa. -- Penn State Brandywine fell in a 7-2 decision to Rowan College-South Jersey on its home courts Sunday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action.

The Roadrunners won 2-of-3 doubles matches and claimed five-of-six singles bouts.

Accouting for Brandywine's doubles point were Luke DeAngelis (Downingtown, Pa./Henderson) and Walidad Ghuman (Drexel Hill, Pa./Upper Darby), who combined for an 8-6 triumph at the second flight.

During singles action, Tanuj Gaikwad (Garnet Valley, Pa./Garnet Valley) was a winner during his top-flight match. He earned a straight-set win by scores of 6-4, 6-1.

Brandywine (3-5) closes out the season with back-to-back matchups against Williamson with the first match coming up Wednesday, April 20 at 3:30 PM.
