Cheyenne Rivas Joins Women's Basketball Class Of 2024

MEDIA, Pa. -- The Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team announced that Cheyenne Rivas has signed on with the team as a member of its class of 2024.

Rivas was a four-time girls basketball team MVP at Collegium Charter School in Exton, Pa. A member of the school's 1,000-point club, Rivas led the Bicentennial Athletic League in scoring during the 2019-20 season after ranking second in the Tri-County Independent School League in scoring as a junior.

Rivas, who also earned five MVP awards with her AAU team, helped Collegium Charter School win back-to-back Tri-County Independent School League championships.

Rivas chose to join the Penn State Brandywine women's basketball team because "when I toured, I immediately felt at home and I felt really connected on campus. There's many similarities that both the campus and my high school had and I liked that."

Rivas is joined in Brandywine's class of 2024 by Kaitlyn Johnson. The Lions reached the PSUAC championship game last season and have won at least 20 games in three of the last four years under Head Coach Larry Johnson.
